I’m originally from Canada and my family moved to Alpharetta, GA when I was in kindergarten. my love for food and baking started at a young age with a family that always enjoyed homemade meals together. I grew up watching cooking shows with my dad and have multiple videos of my own homemade cooking shows from childhood. After high school I found myself working in a bakery, later being trained as their pastry chef. I have worked as a cake decorator in Marietta as well as in Washington, D.C. i found myself deciding to move back to Georgia to be close to family after my sister and her husband found out they were pregnant with twins making it their third and fourth child with no more than 4 years apart. I found 7 Acre through Facebook and walked in with a pie in hand and the rest is history. I’ve fallen in love with Classic southern desserts and I hope you feel like you’re in your (much younger and obviously very cool) grandmas kitchen as you dig in to a slice of coconut cream pie or classic chocolate cake.

I’m originally from Cornwall England where I grew up surrounded by family, friends and nature. Through my childhood I developed an interest in food and drink and by the time I was 15 I rarely missed any busy weekend at work. At 19 I moved to London to pursue a career and fell head over heels for the industry and Wife Kathleen. We moved to Milton in Mar 2019 where I met Chris and Mix who were weeks away from opening 7 Acre.
To me it feels like the Milton community fits me like a glove, I feel lucky to be able to raise our two beautiful children Georgia and Norman here. Working at 7 Acre always puts a smile on my face, the team are spectacular and truly genuine in their approach to our guests who are equally as enjoyable to spend time with.

Mix McCrory (Pictured third)
Born and raised in Colorado, Jon “Mix” McCrory is an Air Force veteran and Riverside Military Academy graduate who has called the Atlanta area his “home base” for more than thirty years. Mix entered the hospitality and restaurant industry as a teen, and he remains involved in every aspect of the business across a broad variety of establishments from casual to fine dining. Mix further developed his culinary craft during his travels to France and Italy, as well as working at prominent restaurants in New York, Atlanta, Miami and north Florida. He brings his experiences working alongside some of the world’s most notable chefs, and the skills that come from working in highly demanding environments with extremely talented culinarians. After several years working with the Sedgwick Restaurant Group, where he was a leader at Vinny’s on Windward, Van Gogh’s / Bistro VG and Aspens Signature Steaks, Mix partnered with Chris Sedgwick to develop 7Acre BarnGrill in 2017 . Though the fare at 7Acre is mostly casual, it is far from ordinary. Mix’s passion for the craft shows through in everything he prepares.
